Funny Pancake n Coffee Bali

It's been a while since my last food post.
Today, I'll talk about affordable pancake place around Denpasar area. Usually it's a place around tourist area, but this one is famous around local area and not much tourists here so the price is still affordable.

It's a very late post, so sorry to Yovie. I owe him. Lol.. He's the owner and he's really kind. He has more than 1 restaurant around Denpasar area. He invited me there, and as a pancake lover, I was so happy to try something new. I went there at night with a few friends to try out the menu.


 



It's located at Jl Sesetan, South Denpasar. They have outdoor and indoor area, but since we chose to sit inside, and forgot to take photo of the outside area, so here we are. The inside area is so colorful, dominated by red and yellow color, with some other bright colors. It was almost full that night as an affordable hangout place.

First, we tried the Black Squid Ink Funny Shaker Fried Rice (IDR 25K). I always like Black Squid Ink Fried Rice, Black Squid Ink Tagliatelle, they have unique taste and it's somehow yummy. It's called Shaker Fried Rice because it comes in a jar, you have to shake it first then pour it out. Unique presentation. 



It's a bit too moist, maybe because I put it too long inside the jar, still busy with something else back then. I should've poured it out right away at the first time, lol.. The taste, I like it! Spicy and yummy, savory and hot, combined well together with the squid. Really good for my Indonesian taste bud. a.k.a Mantep...!



We tried Choco Lover Pancake (IDR 28K), it's affordable for double layers pancake. The pancake itself is soft and fluffy, not too sweet. Topped with chocolate sauce, cheese, chocolate ice cream, and choco chip. It's good and perfect for choco lovers.



I ordered Green Tea Kit Kat Frappe. Forgot the price. It's nice, refreshing, not too sweet. It'd be more perfect if combined with Green Tea Kit Kat. Yum...! The glass is quiet big so it's really worth.



My friend ordered Spaghetti Carbonara (IDR 28K). It's creamy and should be nice, but it's a bit tasteless. A pinch of salt made it better.

I forgot to take photo of Crunchy Chicken (IDR 25K). It's like pok pok chicken and crispy and yummy. Reminds me a lot with Taiwan style street snack. Recommended!

Overall, I like the food especially the Shaker Fried Rice, pancake and the drink. Will be back for that. They keep improving on making something new, can't wait to try the new menu. Check out their socmed for an update.
