Hii! How are you? Today is the last day of 2016. How do you feel? I'm having a tough time this year, and I hope everything will be going well next year. Pray and hope for the best.
If you already seen my instagram, last week I and fellow beauty bloggers from Bali held our first gathering. We met few years ago when we were still young *lol (but still young now, though), it was only like 6 to 10 people back then. Now we have more than 20 members and 17 of us could make it to the gathering. \(^_^)/
The gathering was held at Goemerot Restaurant, Jl Tukad Gangga No 8, Denpasar, Bali. It was a cute place with affordable food and drink. Thanks to Youween, one of our member who sponsored the decoration. It was so pretty, everything is white and bling bling. You can check their instagram, Cloris Decoration and The Cloris Flower.
When we came, we had to registered first and wrote down our wish for Bali Beauty Blogger in 2017. As we gathered, we started with member introduction, some of us haven't met each other so this was a good chance to know better. We had fun with games too, mentioning cosmetics brands and products knowledge (fit with us as beauty blogger :p).
The show continued with sharing session. Some of our members already have many achievements so we'd like to hear about their story. Here's their stories:
1. Ita from Flawless Chen : "How to be a Content Writer"
She's a content creator for one of e-commerce site in Indonesia. She shared her tips how to create an article where people will like it even it's not really 'us' but we should follow the trend despite our own style. When you work as content creator too, don't forget your own blog, at least you have to post once a week. If you want to post two articles or posts, make sure the timing is right. Don't post at the same time or short time, give it a gap for 2 or 3 days. That way, the readers don't get confused and understand your schedule.
2. Jessica Ie from www.jessica-ie.com : "How to Monetize your Socmed and Blog"
This pretty girl is one of celebgram at instagram, with more than 17K followers, she often receive promote or endorse content. She gave tips about managing instagram, change the personal account into business account because it makes a big difference. About blog too, never ever name your photos for blog randomly, it plays a big part for google search engine.
3. Hatta Shani from hatta-shani.com : "How to be a Youtuber"
Shani with her awesome youtube channel, she has around 2K youtube subscribers which is awesome because I'm not a youtuber and always appreciate people who make vlog. It needs much more time and effort than blogging. There also haters there, just don't listen to them and keep pushing yourself ahead.
We had a great meal with the BBQ Chicken Wings and Ice Tea.. Yummy!
Don't forget the desserts too. We got two sponsored desserts, Soft creamy Italian Dessert Pannacotta from Sweet Gems Bali and Fluffy and Soft Japanese Cotton Cheese Cake from Say Cheese Bali.
We also changed presents with each other and some of lucky members got doorprize from Olivia Slimming and Skincare. We had Instagram competition too and the winners got goody bag from Emina Cosmetics, don't forget the spa voucher from Eastern Garden Martha Tilaar Spa for the blog competition winner. Everyone also went home with happy faces getting goody bag from Sensatia Botanicals and Aiglow Lashes, some of us also got softlens from Japan Softlens. It was a very fun and memorable night. We had fun together, getting to know each other as a community who has the same passion and goal. My wish for 2017 is I hope that we can grow bigger and stronger together, more projects and events coming up, and of course more partnership with beauty brands and places especially in Bali.
