Hope it's not too late! I've just tried COSRX recently for these past few months, I fall in love now and want to try more from COSRX. After trying their Galactomyces and Snail essence, now I really wanna try their sleeping mask. I love sleeping mask!

My HG sleeping mask was Laneige Water Sleeping Mask, I've repurchased it about 3-4 times along with Innisfree but now I really want to try something new. Since COSRX has it so why not..

How to Use:

1. As a sleeping mask 

For the last step of your routine skin care at night, apply an adequate amount to the entire face and get ready to be amazed by your skin after your beauty sleep ! 

2. As a wash off mask 

Apply a generous amount and spread out evenly. After about 15 minutes, wash off with lukewarm water or wipe off with toner. 

3. As a cream 

After the last step of your skin care routine, apply as a cream and follow with makeup.

Packaging is very simple, just like other COSRX products. They minimize their marketing budget so they can focus on the product and selling it with affordable price. It comes with a box with some info on it. The jar itself is made from plastic with black metal lid. No spatula included so yeah, use another spatula or just dip in your finger. Good thing that it has an inside lid to prevent the cream getting messy.

It's a white cream and the texture is creamy and rich but it glides so smoothly on skin. It has subtle rice fragrant which I love, I don't know why but I just love rice scented products, for me it's calming and relaxing. 

Even though it glides smoothly on skin, the best way to use it as sleeping mask is by putting a thin layer of the cream. I once tried to put a little bit thicker layer (not like wash off mask, but just like I usually apply my other sleeping mask) but it became sticky and oily until the next morning! But when I apply it thinly, my skin becomes moist, soft, supple, brighter and glowing without being sticky. I feel like I have mochi skin. Total love with this sleeping mask!!

Putting it as wash off mask is really good for making skin smooth and make it easy to put make up on. It's more like an instant booster to the skin. I don't think I need base makeup anymore after using this as a wash off mask.

I don't use it as day cream because it's very nourishing and I think that it's too thick for hot days. I live in a tropical country and having thick moisturizer at day time is the one thing that I always avoid.

From 3 ways of how to use it, I prefer the original way which is as sleeping mask. I love the result as the next morning I wake up with moist, supple, brighter and glowing skin.
As I apply this as the last skincare step, I don't apply it directly after toner, serum, and essence. I prefer to wait for 10 minutes to let all the previous skincare get absorbed into the skin. After my skin feel soft and there's no skincare residue, I apply a thin layer of this sleeping mask and massage it a bit to get better result. Putting it layer by layer is much better rather than putting a thick layer at once. Lesson learned!

OVERALL:

My say is that COSRX Ultimate Nourishing Rice Overnight Spa Mask is very suitable for normal dry skin people, while for oily skin people this mask is too rich. I love it and it's very different than other sleeping mask I've ever tried. Now I really wanna try the honey one. Follow me with my COSRX journey!
