Cleansing is a must! Right? After having make up the whole day, your skin just got tired and need to be clean, right away. What happens if we forget? Hmm.. Pimples, blackheads, whiteheads, and it is gotten worse. So.. Don't forget to clean your face, especially before going to bed. I know, it's tiring and sometimes just too lazy to do it. Yeah, it happened to me too, once or twice or so... But, I'm trying to kill that bad habit. Let me tell you what I do when cleansing my face in this post.
There are 5 products that I usually use:
Cleansing oil is a necessary, I always use this after wearing make up with BB cream, concealer, and any waterproof make up on my face because this is the best cleanser to be used. With 1-3 pumps, it just wash away all the make up easily. I just love it. The downside is, it's kinda makes my skin dry after using it. Oily skin suits cleansing oil better.
After using cleansing oil, sometimes it feels a bit sticky or oily so using facial wash helps to clean the residue. Use gentle facial wash as you don't want to make your skin dry. It isn't really a necessary so if you want to pass it, it's no problem.
Cleansing oil, now lotion? Yes, it is watery and not as powerful as oil. This helps to clean the make up residue when using BB cream / foundation + blush on, double cleansing is a must and I found that there's still make up residue even after using cleansing oil and facial wash. It is not drying, not sticky and very gentle to the skin. I love it. Usually I'll use 2 cottons alone with light make up and without cleansing oil.
Eyes are sensitive area. It is hard to be clean, you can not be harsh on them as there will be wrinkle and yes.. it hurts. Eye & Lip remover has more gentle formula because it is made to be focused to clean on that area, and also it is easier to remove make up by using it. Use cotton pads and cotton buds to do the job. Another option is olive oil (use Extra Virgin Olive Oil), and baby oil. It will be cheaper and nice to the skin, too.
It is not a cleanser. But I really like to use this as a finishing touch after cleansing. It is just calming the skin, make it softer and giving cooling sensation. This is also a preparation to use skincare.
I know what crossed to your mind,
Why are they so many,
Can I use just use one product to do all these?
Yes you can, but it won't be enough if you wear heavy make up and especially eye make up.
Trust me, I have tried to do so and ended up not too clean or wasting too much product like the cleansing water/lotion. It can do the job but how many wipes you'll need and it takes a lot of product in 1 cotton. Using cleansing oil saves money on cleansing water/lotion, but after the cleansing oil, there is some residue and cleansing water/lotion works this one out or you can use toner to do this job.
If you never wear heavy make up, cleansing water/lotion is enough. It can also used for waterproof eye make up but sometimes it takes longer than eye & lip make up remover.
Once again... Have fun cleansing!
Do drop comments, let me know what you think ^_^
What are your steps of cleansing?
The cleanser sounds great to me... as it can remove the makeup well =)
