My Dressing Table & How to Organize

This is my last post today. I have to work later. I would like to share to you about My Dressing Table. This came across my mind after I reorganize things after I got back from holiday. I'm not a neat freak, still messy, but there is some part of me that kinda neat (maybe around 20%, I have to make it bigger). Hope this post will help you too. I've been sharing it with my sis for over 12 years, but she's already living in Surabaya for 2 years, so this is mine for now.

This is how my dressing table look like.

Even it's full, it's pretty neat right now?

I'll divide them into 3 parts: 

A. Left (Mask, Mini size, Accessories)

B. Middle (Perfume, Lotion, Foundation/BB/CC Cream, Powder, Brush)

C. Right (Small items, Make up, Jars, Hanging Hair Piece)

A. Left 

(Mask, Mini size, Accessories)

On the very left there is a brown box contains mask, and some items that I rarely used (not everyday), that's why it has a lid. My sis bought the box from ACE Hardware. On the top of it, there are 2 pretty boxes, a big one and a small one. All are gifts, so don't ask where I got them ^_^.

Masks, peeling, sunblock, caladine powder, also a bowl, brush and headband that I need to use homemade mask. All are placed here so it looks neater, I only take it when needed.

The pretty boxes... 

The big one is a cardboard box where I place my hair rolls and watches and some jewelry that needs to be saved, not hang like big short necklace. My cousins gave me this along with beauty stuffs and accessories inside as a gift from Holland. Now the box is reused. The printing is cute, it has bunnies all over it.

The small box is a metal box with flower printing, it has a strap. My Aunt from Germany gave me this and she said it was a trend to children there to bring this as their bag. Can't imagine how heavy it is because it's made from metal. For me, it's kinda like a treasure box, don't you think. I use it to save my mini skincare. Most of them are from History of Whoo that I use recently at night. 

This is one of my favorite thing at this table. I got this from handicraft store here in Bali. There are many kinds of accessories hanger for earrings, necklaces, bracelets. I love the tree model, it's unique. It is made for earring, but anyway I can use the branch to hang my necklace and bracelet too. I love the white wash color too, I have a dream someday I have a house, I want to have a room with white wash color and vintage theme.

Closer look to my collection. It has small holes on the leave so we can put it like we put on our ear. Lovey dovey..

  

Underneath, there are 2 boxes for accessories too. I also got them, the pink one I don't remember because it's really a long time ago, and the black one I got from a giveaway. Pink is plastic box while black is handmade cardboard box that has numbers on it, I think they have a web selling this kind of stuff. I put some of the accessories that I rarely used or just small items.

  

  

B. Middle 

(Perfume, Lotion, Foundation/BB/CC Cream, Powder, Brush, Etc)

Left to right, a small green box and colorful lines box. Got them from ACE Hardware, too. They sell pretty boxes, but kinda expensive. For long term use, I think it's ok to buy 1 or 2. I've been using them for years and still pretty. 

These are my 2 cleansing properties. I use them like everyday, because they don't have a place and I use it everyday, I just put it outside. Another reason is the pump will make it hard to take if it's inside a box. 

The smaller green box contains all my mist and perfumes, also some other things like make up remover and cotton buds. I like to put them there near the other cleansing products. I usually got perfumes as gifts but luckily I like them all. This is the one thing that I usually forget to use because it can't be seen, I mean like using eyeliner I can see the difference on my eyes, but perfume isn't, that's way it will be a long time to empty the products.

It's my favorite box to reach, the colorful box. It contains all the BB Cream, CC Cream, powder, skincare, brushes, and other things for hair. All the prep and prime until finishing is in this box. Because there are no place for palettes, I also never have them until few months ago, I just put them behind the box so it will be easy to reach, too.

C. Right

(Small items, Make up, Jars, Hanging Hair Piece)

This can be mentioned as a new section, because I don't have the brown box and the pink drawers before, so it's messy. But now, it's already organized. The brown box I just got recently from Daiso Japan at Tunjungan Plaza Mall (IDR 22.000) and the pink drawers from Garden Plastic Marina (IDR 35.000) when I went to Surabaya last week. And on the right is a candy jar that I use for cotton pads, and a bowl made of beads handmade by my Aunt, I use to put small things like betadine, nail clippers, etc. Also a carton box, forget where did it come from, for hair brushes and foot file. On the very edge, there is a hairdryer and a big cosmetic bag that I'll use if I need to do make up for someone or go for a long long time.

The brown box contains a lot items that usually don't fit to other boxes, so it's kinda a mix from head to body, also small things like cream spoon, tweezers, etc. The kabuki isn't fit in the left box along with other brushes so I just put it there.

 Voila.. These are the things that unseen inside the box. I reuse glasses that I got from jam jar (left) and candle jar (right). Don't throw away all those things because it can be useful. 

The pink drawers are my favorite on this side because it contains all my small make up. If you've followed my instagram, I've posted this. I divide them into sections, from bottom to top are lips, cheek, face, eyes, and the very top is a place to stuffs that I usually forget to wear so I don't forget it anymore. There is a small holes back there, I put samples that I already used and want to reuse so it won't get contaminated and to remind me, also make up sponge on the left side.

A hanging organizer. It was the place where I put my make up before I bought the pink drawers. Can you imagine reaching without seeing. Hard to get what I want and sometimes forget that I have it because I can't see them. Now, I use it for hair accessories. Anyway I got this as a prize by exchange tickets at Timezone long long time ago. Remember that time that we used to play to get tickets as much as we can. 

And... this is at another part but this where I put things that I have in stock, like sheet masks, plastic bags, etc that I have on blog sale or stock for presents. If someone have birthday, I don't have to buy it. Sometimes we just forget right. I bought it at eCosway store (IDR 80.000). It's a flat board that can be shaped into drawers. Pretty cool and useful. Don't mind the crooked shape, it's made of carton anyway.

It's fun to play and keep things on their place. I love buying boxes to keep things organized or things that are useful, but ACE Hardware just too expensive. Daiso Surabaya too isn't too complete like Daiso in Malaysia or Singapore. There are so many boxes and useful things there, I just confused if I buy them how can I bring it back, too big, sista.. I wish someday there will be Daiso in Bali.

For the handmade accessories hanger, I'm thinking about getting some more as samples because many people see and love it. They want it so I can get them for you too if you want. But not in this near time because I have to go out of town to get these from the store. It's quiet far from the town. The price is really reasonable. I got it years ago, I don't know the price now, will have to go there again and let you know.
