[Sponsored] Review: OST Original Pure Vitamin C20 Serum

It's been a while since I post my last skincare review. Honestly, skincare review is so much harder to make and needs more time. But I like to see what happens to my skin after using it. Quick review on it.

I chose this serum because of the good reviews out there and I wanted to know why..

Still affordable for a serum with such a promising result to get.

Packaging is ordinary, an orange box. The orange color is definitely the same with the bottle. The bottle is a glass bottle because it keeps the Vitamin C Serum inside and I think it needs an air resistant container, at least better than plastic. Some products got spilled out during the shipping but nothing to be worried, they sealed it. We have to change the normal cap with the pipette to use it. I love the black and orange color, it looks mysterious somehow.

The color of the serum can be seen as the pipette is transparent. It looks like ginger ale to me. It is transparent with yellowish hint. Of course with vitamin C inside, there always be yellow orange color like orange fruits, carrots, etc. The smell is a little bit strong, it has vitamin C scent, a bit sour but there's something stronger. Somehow not everyone like it. I can work with the smell but it isn't my fave scent.

The serum spreads easily because the consistency isn't thick and a bit runny. It sinks into the skin quiet fast  with a little tingling sensation but leaves sticky feeling after. I have to wait a while until it absorbs perfectly and then add some moisturizer. There's a cream similar with this one in one series but I'm using my own cream. Even though it's a bit sticky, it feels like my skin getting tighten and a bit drying so moisturizer is a must. I can understand the effect because vitamin C is good to tighten pores and brighten skin tone.

However, I'm sorry I don't have the before after picture as I don't use it as routine. Sometimes I just forgot to use it. I like using it at night better than in the morning because of the waiting process. I'm a quick runner when it comes to getting ready esp in the morning. By using it in a few weeks, I can feel that I have a brighter skin and my acne scars is less visible and smoother too. It's not an instant process but worth the time.

One thing that a little bit annoying is the time. Yes, the serum has to be used within 2 months at least. Keep it in the fridge to slower the oxidation process, otherwise you can see the serum getting darker and browner. It means you have to hurry finishing the bottle. I don't know this before, and I couldn't finished it since I have others to be reviewed too so I gave it to my sis in law. Feels like having many products that are running at each other because they're all getting older.

Pros:

+ Multifunction serum (brighten, tighten, reducing scars, etc)

+ High concentrate but sinks fast into the skin

+ The process is quiet fast to see the skin improving

+ Affordable for serum like this

Cons:

- Have to buy it online

- Sticky feeling after

- Not moist enough, moisturizer is a must

- Tingling sensation and scent

- Have to empty the bottles ASAP or it'll be oxidize 

Overall:

It's really worth the price and I think it suits best with combination skin, acne prone people. Because of the high concentrate, the result is quiet fast. It has so many awards and good reviews out there so no doubt about it. But you have to make a promise to use it everyday to empty the bottle because it can be used only for a few months. I like the result that it makes my skin smoother, I just don't really like the scent. Other than that, it's a must try.
